Medlibra is the special mobile EdTech app, developed for Ukrainian students of medical colleges and universities to prepare better for the government exams. The whole process was divided into several parts: branding, identity & marketing positioning, product and experience discovery and research, ideation, hi-fidelity mockups, continuous testing and implementation. Each step was powered with massive documentation and specs.

After brainstorming about identity, the team approved visual sketches, naming, marketing archetype, voice&tone. Market research and CEO analysis were going on the parallel, with our own created schemas. That included a huge review of the competitors and user feedbacks as well. We gathered information about our users in the workshop series, where potential users were also involved. Also, it was a fascinating part to working with various business methods and to track all possible ways of development, communication strategies, and more.

JTBD gave us more opportunities to focus on each feature. After that, we checked and refined all of the features while potential user interviews and reworked our Kano model. Finally, with the clear information architecture, time for the prototypes had come. The team ran through qualitative video testing sessions with real students, who passed the exams already or only was going to have it. We tested our own interface, compared passing the main flows using competitors' software and got very satisfying results in total.

A few words about gamification: the product team didn't want to have a complex system of incentives and awards, but it was crucial to have something like that in the app – non of the competitors hadn't even tried to bring joy to the educational process.
